Rod Duhamel

As the Principal of The Spectrum Group, Rod leads a multidisciplinary team that delivers turnkey solutions for remote camp operations, hospitality infrastructure, and industrial modular projects across North America. With over 35 years of experience in the modular construction industry, Rod brings deep expertise in project feasibility, modular design and construction, operational logistics, commercial procurement, and regulatory compliance. His leadership ensures that complex projects are executed efficiently, even in the most challenging environments. In addition to his role at The Spectrum Group, Rod is a founder and broker of Used Modulars Canada Ltd., Canada’s leading online platform for listing, selling, and brokering used industrial modular buildings. For more than a decade, he has built a trusted reputation for delivering cost-effective, high-performance modular solutions to clients across the continent. Rod is known for his hands-on, solution-oriented approach and his commitment to exceeding client expectations. Whether managing the logistics of a large-scale camp or advising on modular asset procurement, he brings a practical mindset grounded in decades of real-world experience and a relentless focus on quality, innovation, and long-term value.

Tim LeClair (BA, JD)

Global Business Development | Indigenous Relations

Tim leads the company’s international business development in Canada and the U.S. He also oversees the company’s ongoing expansion efforts into emerging US markets. Tim also acts as Business Development for an affiliate company - Used Modulars Canada Ltd.

In his previous role which he held for 5 years, Tim served as Senior Vice President of Business Development and President for a First Nations company and was focused on the company’s strategic development and expansion efforts into high-growth, emerging markets internationally. He has provided a variety of services, including Strategic Business Consulting, Coaching and Growth Planning. He has also overseen a number of Indigenous strategic partnership negotiations including agreement implementation and project execution.
LeClair holds a J.D. from the University of Ottawa and Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a focus on International Political Economics, from the University of Windsor.

Shawn Black CHA, CHGM

Hotels and Facilities Development | Brand Marketing

With over 35 years management and entrepreneurial experience, A large amount of Shawn’s management experience comes from the hospitality industry spanning Caribbean, Central America, and North America, as General Manager and as Corporate Director of multiple properties from private & independent brands, as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts. Shawn’s expertise in the hospitality sector was noticed by the workforce accommodation sector of oil & gas in the Canadian market.

His innovations to the industry have made him sought after by private and large corporate companies in this sector looking to have him teach their organizations how to change their methods to attract and retain their workforce. Shawn is focused on emerging markets and building Spectrum Hospitality Group, Which will focus on a high level of service for hotel brands that will include all aspects of hotel services, such as Food and Beverage Services and hotel operations.

Brent Crack

Brent Crack began his career in Environmental Law Enforcement, establishing a strong foundation in regulatory compliance and environmental protection. His professional path evolved into emergency management, incident investigation, and root cause analysis, culminating in a respected leadership role within the safety industry.

With extensive experience supporting multi-national organizations, Brent has played a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive Safety Management Systems. His expertise and dedication to continuous improvement earned him the designation of Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).

As a recognized subject matter expert in safety and regulatory affairs, Brent is skilled in negotiating with government regulatory bodies on behalf of companies, ensuring both compliance and strategic alignment.

Widely regarded as a “change agent,” Brent has helped numerous organizations enhance their safety cultures, streamline operational systems, and achieve significant improvements in safety performance and bottom-line results. Beyond the Office Brent's passion for safety and environmental stewardship continues in his personal life. An avid adventurer, he has circumnavigated the globe by sailboat and is a published author, combining his love for exploration with a deep respect for the natural world.

Shon Marsh

Risk Analysis | Security Advisor

With over 25 years of progressive experience in law enforcement, security operations, and intelligence analysis, Shon has built a career rooted in leadership, trust, and operational effectiveness. Rising through the ranks from Constable to Acting Deputy Chief, he has served across both municipal jurisdictions and First Nation lands, bringing a nuanced understanding of community dynamics and inter-agency coordination.

Shon's expertise encompasses corporate security strategy, executive protection, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and budgetary planning. As a longstanding member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), he brings a high level of proficiency in interpreting and applying federal, provincial, and municipal regulations across diverse security landscapes.

He is particularly knowledgeable in threat environments related to pipeline construction and operational infrastructure, having led numerous vulnerability assessments and mitigation strategies for critical projects. His role as a senior liaison with government security agencies has included policy development, personnel training, and overseeing compliance in complex regulatory environments.

In addition to his public service, Shon has acted as a strategic advisor to the oil and gas, forestry, and linear infrastructure sectors. His consultative input has supported the design and implementation of site-specific security protocols and emergency response frameworks that meet the highest industry standards.

Colin Jones

With over 35 years of progressive experience in project controls and planning, Colin is a Chartered Professional known for his exceptional leadership in navigating and executing high-stakes, capital-intensive developments. His career spans some of the world’s most respected EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) organizations, where he has played a pivotal role in delivering complex projects exceeding \$1 billion in total capital expenditure (CapEx).

Colin brings a comprehensive command of project controls, combining deep technical knowledge with strategic foresight. His areas of expertise include integrated planning, cost management, schedule development and optimization, risk analysis, and proposal support—all executed with a focus on aligning operational realities with business objectives. He is particularly valued for his ability to establish robust project baselines, ensure disciplined tracking, and drive consistent, data-informed decision-making.

Known for a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach, Colin is adept at working across the full lifecycle of a project—from early feasibility studies and scope development through to execution, commissioning, and closeout. His leadership fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration, transparency, and a culture of accountability—ensuring stakeholders remain informed, aligned, and confident throughout project delivery.

Colin Henry (DipM, MCIM, REHIS)

UK & International Markets Liaison Offshore and Remote Catering

Colin brings over four decades of global expertise to his role as a consultant, specializing in offshore and remote site operations. His work focuses on contract analysis, technical reviews, and the commercial development of client businesses, while also supporting strategic growth through targeted sales and marketing initiatives.

With more than 43 years in the contract catering industry, working across the UK and international markets. Known for his client-first approach and results-driven mindset, he has consistently delivered profit and growth through innovation and strong leadership.

Colin holds a Higher National Diploma in Catering and Hotel-Keeping, along with postgraduate diplomas in Marketing and Business Management. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. During a transition period from June 2023 to August 2024, he dedicated time to researching industry segments and understanding the competitive landscape in preparation for his consulting career.

A lifelong adventurer, Colin has worked in or visited 73 countries and thrives in multicultural environments—a passion rooted in his upbringing as the son of a Church of Scotland missionary. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, golf, and walking his two dogs.

With over 16 years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas sector, Matt’s expertise spans from precision fabrication of pressure vessels and piping systems to overseeing the full regulatory installation of a $40-million pipeline. His ability to lead projects from concept to completion—while ensuring strict adherence to specifications, quality controls, and industry regulations—has earned him a reputation for reliability and excellence.

Matt’s academic and professional credentials reflect his multidisciplinary strengths. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, along with degrees in Environmental Sciences and Quality Control/Quality Assurance. He also brings a unique perspective through his background in health and performance, holding both a Bachelor’s in Physical Education with a major in Sport Performance and Rehabilitation, and a degree in Kinesiology.

Chef Richard, an award-winning Gold Seal and Gold Medal Chef with a truly impressive resume. Richard, who hails from Halifax Nova Scotia is an expert in large-event catering, organization and deployment.

Most recently of note, his team catered to over 6000 meals per day over 8 days at the Grande Prairie Arctic Winter Games in 2010,as well as the 2018 Grande Prairie Winter Games (35,000 meals) and the 2020 Alberta Winter Games.(25,000+ meals) Richard and his culinary team have provided their award winning food to many levels of Royalty, Dignitaries, Airshows, Military and over 30 major motion pictures during his career.

Shawn Woods

With over 35 years of hands-on experience in the hospitality sector, Shawn is a proven leader in hotel operations, workforce housing, and industrial camp management. Over the past 24 years, he has distinguished himself across North America by managing high-performance teams and complex facilities in some of the most demanding environments.

Shawn’s career journey—from warehouse grocery picker to Red Seal Chef to senior executive roles—demonstrates a rare depth of operational understanding and leadership versatility. He has served as Director of Operations, Director of Food & Beverage, Regional Manager, and Lodge General Manager, successfully overseeing lodges and remote accommodations ranging from 20 to over 8,700 occupants throughout Canada and the U.S.

Since 2009, while holding various senior positions across the industry, Shawn has remained an integral part of the Spectrum team, contributing his expertise to project execution, operational design, and business development initiatives.

Armed with a Business Management Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Shawn is a specialist in operational strategy, cost control, budget management, procurement systems, and multi-site project execution. His expertise lies in optimizing performance while maintaining a strong focus on guest satisfaction, team morale, and bottom-line results.

Beyond his professional achievements, Shawn is an active community contributor. He volunteers with nonprofit organizations that support food banks, homeless shelters, and outreach programs—reflecting his deep commitment to social responsibility and service leadership.

Darren Baker

As part of The Spectrum Group’s extended delivery team, Darren Baker is the founder and Principal Consultant of Juno Strategies Inc.—a veteran-led Canadian consultancy specializing in physical security, complex threat mitigation, and crisis management.

With over 30 years of global experience, including 16 years in Canada’s Special Forces, Darren offers deep operational insight shaped by high-stakes, high-risk environments. He has supported clients across the mining, energy, transit, and government sectors, delivering strategic guidance on risk assessments, regulatory submissions, and crisis-ready planning.

Darren’s expertise includes leading security initiatives for nuclear facilities, critical transit systems, and international deployments. His approach bridges strategic intent and operational execution, ensuring security solutions are both compliant and results-driven.

Certified as a Physical Security Professional (PSP) and a Certified Nuclear Security Professional (CNSP), he also holds advanced credentials in special operations planning, situational awareness, and project leadership.
